About Dr. Stephanie Wawrzyniak
Dr. Stephanie is a native Vermonter who grew up in Northfield, Vermont. She attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts for her undergraduate degree in pharmacy. She also attended National College of Natural Medicine (now National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland, OR for her naturopathic degree.
A Unique Medical Viewpoint
Having such an extensive base in prescriptions gives Dr. Stephanie a unique view point in helping patients manage existing prescriptions and helping patients incorporate a more natural approach to their health. Dr. Stephanie continues to hold an active pharmacy license in Vermont.
A New Path
After 20 years as a pharmacist, Dr. Stephanie was pulled to take her love of nature, her sense of spiritual philosophy, and her desire to play a more active role in teaching others to maintain/regain health, and find a new career path. She took a year off from working and traveled the southwest as well as spent time in Peru and Panama in the hopes of finding this new path.
Discovering Naturopathic Medicine
It was at this time that Dr. Stephanie discovered Naturopathic Medicine and Philosophy and found her true calling. Dr. Stephanie earned her doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine, as well as a certificate in midwifery from National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. After completing her degree she returned to Central Vermont to begin her practice as a Naturopathic Primary Care Physician.
Continuing Education
Dr. Stephanie continues her education of naturopathic modalities and principles, by attending New England School of Homeopathy as well as attending conferences and continuing education programs.
In her spare time Dr. Stephanie enjoys hiking with her dog Casper, kayaking, and reading.
